Warlords of Draenor: Health, Damage and Healing Changes

In one of our articles last week, we looked at some of the Base Resilience and Battle Fatigue changes that Senior PvP Designer Brian Holinka announced they were planning in Warlords of Draenor. Today, we've had a further mention of the topic on Twitter as Holinka responded to concerns about how the damage:health:resilience ratio will be altered.

This is a massive change in game design, as Blizzard are actively recognising that the ratios and numbers are extremely imbalanced in Mists of Pandaria, and are planning on shifting them around in preparation for the next expansion. After being asked what he meant by "relatively bigger", Holinka had this to say on the subject:

Obviously in conjunction with the stat squish, we're going to see a very drastic difference in damage and health in Warlords of Draenor. Screenshots and pictures taken at Blizzcon were showing tanks with 50k health when they were around 530-540 item level, and if this health is relatively doubled, then it's possible that we'll be back to the Burning Crusade days of ~3k DPS with 50k health. After questions about which "crits are 150% (down from 200%)", he responded saying that the "Current thinking is all crits". This alone is massive change for classes such as Destruction Warlocks and Warriors, and especially so for Elemental Shamans, who have a critical strike amplifier built-in to their specialisation.
